About Allen Palmer
Australian-born and bred, Allen studied film in LA before working in London as a story analyst for Granada Film, the Script Factory and the UK Film Council.
For 5 years, he ran the Graduate Certificate in Screenwriting program at AFTRS, Australia’s national film school, and then went on to run a Screenplay Development course at NYU (Sydney).
- He currently has three films in production/development:
- Falling for Figaro – a romantic comedy to be shot in the UK in 2018 (Director Ben Lewin – The Sessions)
- How (not) to start an Orphanage – an adaptation for producer Angie Fielder (Lion)
- Unbending – a comedy/drama to be directed by Iris International award-winner, Brendon McDonall
